Meet Rachel
Nectar Jewelry is fabricated by me in my home studio outside Atlanta, GA. The line began in 2003, after I graduated from SCAD in Savannah with a BFA in Metals & Jewelry. Since then, I've been designing and making new pieces for the line, along with custom work for clients.
My work is organic and texture driven: bones, artifacts, branches, and the shapes I find in nature, translated into metal. I like the tension between raw and refined, something ancient feeling but wearable every day. Every piece is hand fabricated, cast, polished, and set by me, using all karats of gold, sterling silver, precious and semi-precious stones, and beads.
Originally from Ohio, I moved to Savannah for school, then spent ten years on Anna Maria Island, FL. After my first daughter was born, I relocated to the Atlanta area, where I now live with my two daughters, and Noah, my studio assistant, supervising every piece from his spot by the bench.
Nectar is for anyone who'd rather wear one meaningful, handmade piece than a dozen mass-produced ones.
